PEM Kits

PEM kits at Fuel Cell Earth are perfect for students learning to make a fuel cell. Our kits utilize a shelf stable electrocatalyst ink that allows students to focus on creating a PEM MEA. A membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is an assembled stack of proton exchange membranes, catalyst and flat plate electrode that is commonly used in fuel cells. An MEA is the core component of a fuel cell that produces the electrochemical reaction that separates electrons.

Fuel Cell Earth provides all the materials to make 2 – 100 cm² MEA’s, 8 – 25 cm² MEA’s or 32 – 5 cm² MEA’s in it’s standard PEM Electrode and MEA Kit. We also offer a mini option that gives you the ability to create 2 – 25 cm² MEA’s or 8 – 5 cm² MEA’s.

Uno-Ink by Fuel Cell Earth

The Uno-Ink is a highly stable platinum electrocatalyst-Nafion dispersion that is perfect for use with polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) electrodes. The fuel cell community has encountered some challenges in finding a suitable electrocatalyst ink for MEAs. Uno-Ink, however, has proven to be a reliable option that can be coated on an MEA.
